EDUCATION ISSUES AT WEST WITTERING BEACH
If you require information for your school, college or university course we are very happy to answer specific questions about the management of a tourist beach:
- car numbers
- waste disposal
- first aid
- water quality
- effect on the local community
- lost children
- public safety on the beach
If your school wishes to organise a visit to the West Wittering beach or East Head during term time, please contact us prior to booking transport and making arrangements with parents. We carry out our own risk assessments and public safety forms a major part of these assessments. As a result we limit the number of school parties and children during the day.
If you pre-book well in advance, we will not charge entry for the coach (normally £70). You may also request a brief talk from our lifeguards on beach safety (during the summer season) or our Estate Manager on the management of a tourist beach.
If you are looking for information on coastal processes, coastal management, natural history or specifically on East Head..... click here to visit Chichester Harbour Conservancy's "Learning Zone" pages of their website to see what they can offer.
Please remember to pre-book as those that don’t run the risk of being turned away if our safety numbers are likely to be exceeded.
